Under Attack!

The streets are in chaos. Small bands of soldiers rush past to defend the city walls while fires burn in the distance. Shouts and sounds of battle can be heard from the city wall.

Khyron hurries down the street towards the city wall, accompanied by Lilly.

I'm sorry for hurting you, but we have to hurry. We can eat when this is over.

He lets go of her arm, taking her hand gently.

I'll take you to a nice dinner after this, I promise!

He continues hurrying to the gate.

she gets pulled along with him sighing softly to herself, and looks around the town, then back to Khyron

So what am I suppose to do?

she laughs alittle hearing him

Dont make promises we both know you wont keep

She then lets go of his hand and stops looking at something and runs the other way heading away from Khyron

Just come with me to the wall!

Khyron lets go of Lilly as she pulls her hand away, going some time before realizing she is gone. He turns to look for her.

Lilly!

He sees her off in the distance, going down another street. He runs in her direction.

Lilly, wait! Where are you going? Slow down!

she keeps running down the street and turns into an ally, she stops for a moment looking around and as Khyron catches up she glances over her shoulder at him then looks back at the dead end infront of her...

I saw him..he was here...motioning for me to follow him...

She turns around to look at Khyron

I saw my brother...

Khyron stops running when he catches up to Lilly.

Who? Who did you see?

Upon hearing who she saw, Khyron draws his sword without hesitation. He takes Lilly's hand and begins looking around the area for any sign of who she saw.

You saw him? Are you sure it was him? Did you see Jan?

She steps behind Khyron as he draws his sword, holding on to his hand but shakes her head

I know I saw him, he wanted me to follow him..But were would he go its a deadend..

she looks around for a few more mins then turns around walking out of the ally

Maybe I was just seeing things...An why do you have your sword out?

Khyron exits the alley.

Stay close.

Outside of the alley, he continues to look around.

Stay away from him, Lilly. He means to harm you. I wouldn't be surprised if he was behind this attack.

After a few minutes of looking around, Khyron sheathes his sword.

Let's get to the walls.

What! Hes not going to hurt me. Ive told you that..stop saying bad things about him!

She then stomps away from him heading to the walls, glancing around as she moves towards them

If I ever run into my brother again..remind me to never tell you..

If you ever run into him again, I want you to especially tell me. He's not the person you think he is! He's done unspeakable things to you in the past and only to make me suffer.

He continues after Lilly towards the city wall, eventually reaching it.

Khyron meets the guard captain at the wall. After saluting each other, they discuss the situation briefly, then returns to Lilly.

I'm heading to the front. Are you coming with me?

Khyron wanders the streets, battle-worn and bloodied, looking for Lilly.

Lilly? Where are you?

She walks around the streets looking for anyone she knows, then makes her way back to the wall, she notices the damage the walks up to a guard

Have you seen Khyron?

She glances around waiting for the answer, also trying to help clean up the mess that was made

Guard: The Lord Protector has not reported in since before the battle. His whereabouts are not currently known. We are still collecting the dead and wounded. We will inform you should we hear from him, m'lady.

The guard bows, returning to his duties.

She nods her head to the gaurd hearing him then makes a face at him when he bows to her

Yeah..please dont do that..

She turns around and begins to walk back into town..looking around for Khyron

Khyron! were are you?

She then starts to cry as she walks over to the dead and begins to look through them looking for him

Khyron draws his sword immediately when Jan steps out of the shadows.

Janathan! I've fought my way out of Baator to end you! Lay a finger on her, and your days are done.

Khyron takes a swing at Jan, his sword just missing as he steps back and disappears.

Lilly! Where are you?

Khyron rushes through the streets, searching for Lilly. He informs any guards he sees to locate the princess and escort her to his residence.

Khyron hurries through the streets, looking for Lilly. He stops when he hears Jan.

Janathan! Face me, coward!

Khyron stops to pick up the ring and the hair.

Enough games! Lilly? Where are you?

He continues on, still searching.

A guard approaches Lilly at the city gates.

M'lady?

The guard looks at her closely, confirming her identity.

M'lady, for your safety I must ask that you accompany me. I have orders to escort you.

She glances to the gaurd then back to the dead and wipes a few tears away

For my safety? Where is Khyron?

She walks with the guard back to her home looking for Khyron as they move through the streets, when they get to the house she walks up to their bedroom thinking the wrost has happen and lays down on the bed and cries herself to sleep

A guard approaches Khyron in the street.

My lord, she has been found. She is safe.
